Appearance: Rouge stands at about 105 centimeters tall (or 3 feet and 5 inches). Her head is covered in white fur, except for her tan muzzle and inner ears, black, slightly shiny nose, and aqua-green eyes. The fur on the back of her head spikes out in four, thick tufts, giving off the appearance of shoulder-length hair. She skin takes on the same color as her muzzle, while her wings are black. Rouge's usual clothing choice consists of a skin-tight black jumpsuit that only covers from her chest down, a chest plate in the shape of a pink heart trimmed with white, white elbow-length gloves with pink cuffs, and matching high-stocking boots that have heels and soles made of metal to allow for digging and deadly attacks. Her upper chest, arms, and shoulders remain uncovered. Typical make-up for her consists of pink lipstick, mascara, and blue eye shadow.
Personality: At her best, Rouge is flirty, charming, and confident, and uses her feminine looks to her advantage. When she sees something she wants, nothing stops her from going out and getting it. Few know how she really acts, as she is well-practiced in the art of lying and hiding her true emotions. She is selective about those she befriends and ultimately trusts, but is willing to make allies with anyone who shows themselves to be powerful. A mercenary of sorts, she not only allies herself with the strong, but with whoever is willing to pay the highest amount. To say the least, she can be greedy, especially when rare jewels are involved.
As a professional thief and spy, Rouge likes to remain a mystery to all and has no qualms with making up sob stories of the past if it will aid her in one way or another. Only those who somehow get past of all of this and become close friends with her have a chance of learning how she really is. As it stands now, Shadow is only one person to whom she leaves the façade off for and respects as she tries to maintain some level of professionalism with him, even if she still teases him on occasion. To a slightly lesser extent, she acts less fake around her other teammate, Omega, as well.
Abilities/Weaponry/Strengths: Rouge's main strength lies in her legs and feet. Her attacks center around her dangerous kickboxing skills. When in the air, Rouge can hurl herself to towards the ground while spinning in the form of a drill, allowing her to execute a powerful Drill Dive attack or dig into the surface below. The sister ability to this is her Screw Kick, which is performed when on the ground. After gaining speed by running quickly in a circle, she can jump up and spin her body upwards to attack or gain altitude.
Along with her impressive strength, Rouge is known to be an excellent swimmer, climber, and hacker. She has the ability to climb or dig into almost any surface, and with the use of her wings can fly. These and her skills in computers and stealth are why she was hired by GUN to work as an agent.
Rouge's preferred footwear is a set of iron boots, which in addition to the power of her kicks, allow her to unleash powerful attacks and break through a wide variety of materials. Attached to them are pick nails in the shape of hearts which aid her in digging.
Weaknesses: Due to her sensitive ears, high pitched noises render her unable to focus and cause her a great deal of pain, leaving her open for attack. Her stubbornness and lies can easily get her into trouble if she takes on more than she can handle as she refuses to give up on a challenge and creates several false stories. These traits become most prevalent when there is something she wants. No matter what it takes, she will try to obtain the item she desires, often a shiny, new jewel, and will make allies and enemies as it suits her needs.
Whenever a new opportunity presents itself, she can be quick to rush off for it, often leading her astray or into trouble. Rouge sees herself as extremely capable and can pile too much onto her plate at once.
History: This bat is known in her world as a famous treasure hunter and now works for the military as a secret spy. She first came in contact with Shadow, someone she now considers a friend and ally, when she was given the mission to research and analyze Professor Gerald Robotnik's Project: Shadow. She set about this task by allying herself with Shadow and Eggman, promising them to help obtain the chaos emeralds they sought for the Eclipse Cannon. All while she was helping them, Rouge gathered information on the project from the computers on the Space Colony ARK, reporting back every so often with her findings.
True to her nature, however, she also spent a fair amount of time in competition with her new rival, Knuckles, on a search for the shards of the Master Emerald. Eventually their rivalry lead them to fight outside the Space Colony ARK. Their battle ended with Rouge being rescued by Knuckles from a fall that would've meant certain death and her handing over the shards of the Master Emerald, allowing the gem to be restored to its original shape.
She left the battleground to finish her mission. Unfortunately, Rouge got caught by Shadow collecting information on the project. While her job was done, there were still questions left unanswered as she tried to figure out who Shadow really was, as the information she found didn't match up with the hedgehog she saw before her. In the end, Rouge teamed up with Sonic and the others to stop the Space Colony ARK on its crash course to Earth.
Later, when infiltrating Eggman's base in search for treasure, Rouge saw a familiar black hedgehog, floating in a stasis tube. After releasing Shadow and stopping a fight between him and E-123 (Omega), a robot previously shut off by Eggman, Rouge formed Team Dark with her two new companions. Their mission was to hunt down the maniacal professor for their own reasons, hers being to get a hold of his treasure. Right after the group helped take down Metal Sonic and stopped his attempt to become the Metal Overlord, she proceeded to fly off with an aggravated Knuckles after her so she could steal the Master Emerald. In the end, the only profit that came from this mission for Rouge was the two allies she now had and could use for potential gain later.
It was shortly after this that she woke up outside one of the gates to Paixao.
